INVISIBLE THREADS has the metaphysical universe at its core. It centers on the 'darkroom of the mind' where the unknown and unpredictable abound and where ancestors cross the portal from the spirit world to the material realm, as guides to transformative experiences.
The images, multilayered and complex, suggest a cosmic archeology. The time-travel aspect of the photographs reinforces the idea of an immersive experience as the next phase of this cinematic narrative within a mythic landscape. In a staged reading, for example, actors would read the narrative and descriptions while the imagery is projected.
The watchers are immersed within the setting, transported through a time/space continuum of non- consecutive memory and hyper-real vignettes. The intimate feeling of a radio play and soundscape is an invitation to a kaleidoscopic, mystical journey that roams throughout Paris and the paysages of Noyers-sur-Serein, following the trek through the protagonist’s jagged mind.
